About the Event

Workshop’s program

Day 1 – Observing & Constructing the Figure

We begin with a series of short and extended poses, training the eye to see the figure as a whole before moving into precise anatomical proportions. Participants will explore gesture drawing, contour accuracy and the art of “centering” the figure within the composition. By the end of the day you will have developed confident preliminary drawings ready for painting.

Day 2 – Watercolor Figure Painting

On the second day we transition from line to color, using the previous day’s studies as the foundation. Instruction will cover:

  • Building skin tones

  • Controlling edges to convey softness and structure

  • Suggesting light and shadow

  • Balancing detail with expressive brushwork to preserve the fluidity of watercolor

Live demonstrations, individual feedback and guided exercises will support you in achieving both technical accuracy and artistic expression.

Materials: High-quality watercolor paper, pigments and brushes for the workshop will be provided; participants are welcome to bring own for more comfort.
