Workshop’s program

The sea and the skies

We will learn to use those graphic mechanisms that with watercolour allow us to represent the sea with its foam, reflections, transparencies.

In the case of the skies, we will learn to control the technique of wet on wet to offer more detail in our proposals and to be able to tackle any type of sky. All this with tricks and shortcuts to make it easier.

CHARACTERISTICS :

Development of 6 exercises (3 exercises per day) with 6 demonstrations by the teacher and work by the students. Each student will bring his own material (watercolour material), but the artist encloses in this document some orientative recommendations.

As a novelty for this workshop we will incorporate underwater visions. A theme of the most complex but at the same time exciting.

Saturday 28 March: PAINTING THE SEA. Presentation of the theme.

4 demonstrations by the teacher and execution by the students of 3 tutored examples of representation of water.

-Waves and foam (exercise 1)

-Transparencies, reflections and shadows in the sea (exercise 2).

-Underwater scene (exercise 3)

Sunday 29 March: PAINTING THE SKY. Presentation of the theme.

3 demonstrations by the teacher and execution by the students of 3 tutored examples of representation of the sky.
