Painting Bruges en Plein air

In this watercolor class, we will venture outdoors to embrace the natural beauty and architectural marvels of Bruges. Plein air painting, a technique favored by renowned artists throughout history, allows us to capture the essence of our surroundings with spontaneity and vibrancy. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, this class offers a wonderful opportunity to develop your watercolor skills and unleash your creativity in a stunning setting.

You will learn various watercolor techniques, including color mixing, washes, layering, and capturing light and shadows. Through hands-on demonstrations and personalized instruction, you will gain valuable insights into composition, perspective, and the unique challenges and joys of painting en plein air.

The workshop will be focusing on a different aspect of watercolor and mixed media painting, and will include:

• demonstrating painting techniques
• color theory and mixing, with me showing how to create a range of hues and shades using just a few colors
• guided painting process
