Special plein air retreat to the breathtaking island of Madeira! This retreat is a unique opportunity to enjoy landscapes of this beautiful island and grow your watercolor skills in an inspiring and supportive group.

Recommendations on villas to stay are provided, transfers to plein air locations are possible.

Day 1,  29 November: Plein Air at one of the most picturesque beaches.

This day will be all about capturing the dynamic of light, water and sky. You’ll learn how to portray the movement of waves and changing colors of the sea.

Day 2, 30 November: Plein Air in Foggy Forest.

The day in one of Madeira’s mystical foggy forests. The lush greenery and mist create a dreamy, almost surreal atmosphere. I’ll guide you through techniques to capture the soft, diffused light of the forest.

Day 3, 1 December: Plein Air in Mountains

Our final day takes us to the majestic mountains of Madeira, where we will learn how to depict the dramatic contrasts of light and shadow, the rich textures of rocky landscapes.

This retreat is more than just a workshop, it’s an artistic adventure where you’ll deepen your skills, connect with other artists and create memories.
